Where do all the pretty ears come from? And where have the gone?

While researching “type” in old posts from SE.com I found this picture of Hadban Enzahi (Nazeer x Kamla) and a discussion about how ears contribute to type, hence how Hadban was considered very exotic/type in his days. This does not mean in any way that an Arabian horse without small, tippy ears is not a good horse – but for this threat it is all about type represented by ears. So which lines still have those wonderful pointy ears? Who are the breeders who don’t only focus on an overall balanced horse, but also expect their program to be known for type?
